1980
Establishment of the Company and CIR becomes the majority shareholder.

1982
SOGEFI acquires Cooper Fiamm S.p.A., a company based in Mantua, specialized in the production of a wide range of car filters.

1984
Beginning of cooperation with the US company Allied Signal.
Fiaam S.p.A. acquires the industrial and commercial activities from Allied in Europe and the American company acquires 40% of the capital of Fiaam, which remains under the control of SOGEFI (60%).
Allied grants the exclusive licence for the utilization of trademark Fram.

1986
SOGEFI diversifies its activities and takes control of Rejna S.p.A., an Italian company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, dealing with suspension components for vehicles in Europe.
On October 26th 1986 SOGEFI is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.

1987
SOGEFI acquires 100% of Mollificio Bresciano and Sidegarda, companies specialized in the production of suspension components for industrial vehicles.
Through its subsidiary Rejna, SOGEFI acquires Ateliers Métallurgiques de Saint Urbain (A.M.S.U.) S.A., a French competitor in the production of suspension components for automotive sector.

1988
In the Filters Division the English company Coopers Filters Ltd. is acquired.
Acquisition of minority interests of Afico Filters S.A.E. (Egypt).
SOGEFI enters in the capital of Boge AG (49%), shock absorbers producer, and in the Spanish market of wiper blade rubbers and rear-view mirrors acquiring Arto Iberica S.A..

1989
SOGEFI, through its subsidiary Fiamm, acquires from Renault a French company and starts filters production and buys Ansa Marmitte S.p.A., an Italian company dealing with silencers and mufflers.

1990
The SOGEFI Group expands its presence in silencers, taking control of the majority of the French Group Rosi S.A.
Acquisition of Svama S.R.L. a company dealing with car spare parts on the Italian market.

1991
The growth in the filters sector leads the Group to South America, where Europarts Industria de Autopecas Ltda, previous division of Allied Signal, later renamed Sogefi Filtration do Brasil Ltda, is acquired.
The participation of Boge AG is sold as the objective to take control of the company has not been realized.

1993
Creation of a 50/50 joint venture with Arvin Industries Inc. named Timax Exhaust System (Holding) B.V. (Tesh B.V.), specialized in silencers.
Start of the integration process between the plants from Arvin in Great Britain and from SOGEFI in Italy and in France.
SOGEFI sells its operating activities of Svama S.R.L..

1994
SOGEFI, through a Brazilian company, Sogefi Industria de Autopecas Ltda, acquires 60% of an Argentinean company specialized in filters production.
The Group acquires the French companies Montal S.A. and ES Mental S.A., specialized in the production of precision springs for special applications, spreading its product lines.

1995
In the suspension components the joint venture Liaoyang KS Automotive Spring Ltd is created in China.
SOGEFI participates (30%) jointly with the German group Krupp Hoesch Automotive (30%), while the rest 40% is owned by a sole Chinese shareholder.

1996
Acquisition of Luhn & Pulvermacher and Dittmann & Neuhaus allows the Group to enter the European market of suspension components for industrial vehicles.
In the Filtration Division the new plant in Mateus Leme (Brazil) comes into operation, while in Argentina is inaugurated the new plant of Buenos Aires.

1997
SOGEFI sells 50% share capital of the joint venture Tesh B.V. to Arvin, leaving the silencer market.
A new plant for suspensions is realized in S.Nicola di Melfi (Italy).
The share capital for the Brazilian and Argentinean companies specialized in production of filtration elements is brought up to 100%.

1998
Agreement with Fiamm S.p.A., world leader in the production of horns and batteries for the creation of a joint venture named Fiamm-Sogefi Buzinas Ltda, based in San Paolo and specialized in the production and sale of horns for the South American market.
Opening of a new plant for the production of springs and stabilizer bars for suspensions in Fronville (France).

1999
Acquisition of 100% of the PBR S.A. of Barcelona, a Spanish supplier of car filters.
SOGEFI acquires from Usinor Allevard Ressorts Automobile, the French competitor for suspension components.

2000
SOGEFI realizes some important deals in Mercosur: in Argentina the control of Liggett S.A. is brought up to 100% from 68% and in Brazil the control of Allevard Molas do Brasil Ltda up to 100% from 80%.
Through the above company SOGEFI takes control of stabilizer bars of Macisa S.A..
SOGEFI announces the launch of e-commerce activity through the establishment of Kingdragon.It S.p.A. (80%), specialized in on-line market of a wide catalogue of car sport accessories.
SOGEFI gains 100% of Sogefi Fitlration S.p.A. (ex Fiamm) acquiring the remaining 40% of share capital from Allied Signal Italia S.p.A..
SOGEFI agrees with United Industries Plc the acquisition of 100% of the English group United Springs (3 plants in Great Britain and 2 in the Netherlands) specialized in precision springs components.

2001
The subsidiary Allevard Rejna Autosuspensions S.A. acquires 51% of Allevard Rejna Technologie Froid S.A. from Renault and gains 100% of control on the company.
The French competitor in filtration, Filtrauto S.A., is acquired from Valeo Bayen.

2002
Opening of a new plant for the production of suspension components in Moji Mirim (San Paolo – Brazil).
The agreement for the establishment of a plant specialized in the production of springs for shock absorbers and stabilizer bars for the American market is signed with WVDO in Charleston (West Virginia – USA).
Sale of 100% of the share capital of the subsidiary Ansa Automotive Parts Distributors of Macon (Georgia – USA) dealing with silencers for the American market.
The subsidiary Kingdragon.It S.p.A., which has not met its targets, is put into liquidation.

2003
Sale of 50% of share capital of Fiamm Sogefi Buzinas Ltda specialized in the production and commercialization of horns on the Brazilian market.
The Group leaves the Indian market of suspensions with the sale to NHK of 24% of share capital of Jamna NHK Allevard Susupension Components Ltd.

2004
SOGEFI S.p.A. shares, listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since October 1986, starting from January 15th, convey to STAR segment, restricted to midsize companies complying with strict requirements.
Start-up in Prichard (West Virginia – USA) of suspension components production company Allevard Springs USA (ASUSA).
Sogefi International B.V. is put into liquidation.

2005
The plant for suspension components in Melfi (Italy) is closed due to a down-sizing of demand of the Italian market.
The plant of filters in Nottingham (UK) is closed.

2006
Acquisition of a plant for plastic components in Argentan (France) for a better verticalization and for increasing the technical expertise in the field of the Filtration Division.
50% of the share capital of KS Automotive Suspensions Asia, a company based in Singapore, controlling a Chinese joint venture specialized in suspension components, is sold to ThyssenKrupp Bilstein.
Creation of a joint venture in China in order to activate the presence of SOGEFI on the filtration market.

2008
A 50-50 joint venture with Sardou s.a. is established in France, having the mission to develop suspension components in new materials instead of steel, with the aim to drastically reduce weight.
In Bangalore (India) a joint venture with local company M.N.Ramarao Filters Private (MNR) is formed. SOGEFI owns 60% of share capital and the company is active in filters for four, three and two wheels vehicles Indian market and industrial applications.

2010
After the global economic recession of 2009 that affected many car parts suppliers, Sogefi's revenues increased by almost 20%.
The Aftermarket Division was created in order to focus more precisely on the needs of the replacement market.

2011
Sogefi celebrates its 30th anniversary and acquires the group "Mark IV Systèmes Moteurs". As a result of this acquisition, the Italian group completes its engine systems portfolio.
